Dr. Nowhera Shaik, the national president of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party, has expressed her surprise and concern over the dismal number of employment opportunities created during this time.
Data presented in the state Assembly in March shows that a staggering 39,93,149 people, including 37,80,679 educated individuals and 1,12,470 uneducated citizens, have registered themselves at employment offices in the state.
Such alarming figures call for a transformative approach to address the issue of unemployment and uplift the lives of the people of Madhya Pradesh.
It has been reported that 10,298 students and 6,999 unemployed individuals have tragically taken their own lives in the state during the current government’s rule.
These heart-wrenching statistics underscore the urgency of the situation and the need for comprehensive measures to curb unemployment and provide a sense of hope and purpose to the youth of Madhya Pradesh.
The incumbent government has introduced schemes like “Seekho Kamao” (learn and earn), which offer stipends based on qualifications to unemployed youth. While such initiatives are commendable, they have fallen short of providing sustainable solutions to the unemployment crisis. The government claims to have “provided over 61,000 government jobs in the last three years.” However, it’s essential to recognize that this number might be significantly higher if the employment of contractual staff were taken into account.
“We are committed to redefining employment strategies by introducing innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of Madhya Pradesh. We recognize the importance of providing not just jobs but meaningful, sustainable livelihoods that empower individuals,” the party said.
The party’s plan includes an extensive skill development program that equips the youth with the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive job market. By enhancing their skillsets, the youth will become more employable and better positioned for success.
She believes that entrepreneurship can be a powerful engine for job creation. The party will encourage and support budding entrepreneurs, providing them with resources, guidance, and incentives to establish their businesses.
Madhya Pradesh, with its 5.6 crore voters, holds the promise of a brighter future. The upcoming assembly elections on November 17th present an opportunity for the people of the state to elect leaders who will prioritize employment opportunities and work tirelessly to uplift the lives of the citizens.
Dr Shaik and the All India Mahila Empowerment Party offer a vision of hope, progress, and prosperity. Their commitment to addressing unemployment, supporting entrepreneurship, and promoting mental health services promises a brighter future for Madhya Pradesh. It is time for the people to come together and embrace this vision, creating a more prosperous and empowered state for all its residents.
